The NRF has again awarded funding for 2016 to assist in resolving the crisis in Academic Statistics in higher education. Calls were recently sent to all HoDs and Chairpersons of Statistics Departments in South Africa. The second cohort of masters- and PhD-bursaries as well as post-doctoral fellowships for 2016, were identified through an assessment process.
